Our team has a long-term Sea Country program centred on working with PhD Candidate Tom Tothill who is doing a Baited Remote Underwater Vessels Survey (BRUVS) to capture fish diversity and size classes related to changes over time and across different areas of the Recherche Archipelago.
We are also leading a special program – Wudjari Ancient Coastlines – that involves seafloor mapping and geo-archaeological studies to document the formation of the archipelago since the end of the last Ice Age, and how our ancestors responded and adapted to this change – and so contributing to our understanding of past, and future, patterns in climate change.
