Rejuvenation Trees
Our Rejuvenation Trees program achieves First Nations-led land ownership and stewardship, so that Country can heal and sustainable livelihoods are achieved for our community.
By securing finance from impact investors, we have purchased three farming properties comprising over 5,200 hectares located across culturally significant landscapes. Prior to our purchase, these properties were under intensive broad acre cropping and livestock farming regimes for decades.
Now our Land Enterprises team are actively restoring parts of these properties to biodiverse standards by way of hand-planting and direct seeding of over 70 native species.
In 2024, we worked across 600 hectares, hand-planting 300,000 seedlings whilst also direct seeding 60kg of native seed picked by our team from nearby bushland. In 2025 we are focusing our efforts on an additional 220 hectares of direct seeding and hand-planting plus in-filling of areas to ensure biodiversity is reestablished.
Our Rejuvenation Tree program supports global efforts to decarbonize the economy and restore biodiversity whilst enabling self-determination through formal land ownership providing sustainable livelihoods and economic benefits for our local community.
